We’re building a diverse roster of instructors to bring our next chapter to life. Whether your background is classical Pilates, contemporary, Lagree, or Solidcore, we’re looking for teachers who share our passion for thoughtful movement and beautiful design.

About the Role

As a Somato instructor, you’ll create reformer-based Pilates classes filmed on the Somato Folding Reformer at our SOMA studio in San Francisco. You’ll collaborate with our team to develop class sequences, themes, and cues that reflect Somato’s approach: intelligent, accessible, and elevated.

We’re seeking certified instructors who are comfortable on camera, bring great energy, and care deeply about helping people build strength, awareness, and confidence at home.

 

What You’ll Do

• Design and teach Pilates classes that align with Somato’s brand and philosophy
• Record clear, professional-quality video sessions (with our production team’s support)
• Collaborate with the Somato team on class programming, tone, and sequencing
• Provide short written blurbs or class descriptions for each session
• Optionally appear in promotional or social media campaigns

What We’re Looking For

• Certified reformer Pilates instructor from a recognized program (BASI, Balanced Body, STOTT, Club Pilates, Lagree, Solidcore, etc.)
• Certification year and proof of completion required
• Confident, professional on-camera presence
• Strong cueing, form awareness, and pacing
• Ability to commute to our filming location in SOMA, San Francisco
• Enthusiasm for helping more people discover Pilates at home
